After eating, we took a walk along the Tomebama River. It's Spring here and today was a perfect Spring day. 73-degrees and mostly sunny.
There is an exercise trail along the river. This sign points out areas of interest along the way.
As usual, we saw some rather interesting urban art.
A beautiful city!
This is the University of Cuenca campus.
Below, you can see the walking/running/biking path beside the river.
Mike enjoying the day.
We then visited the Panama Hat Museum where Mike purchased a birthday gift for himself.
Here are some murals inside the Panama Hat Museum.
And there is this outfit at the Museum entrance.
Tonight, we have been invited to play dominoes and enjoy dinner with our neighbors Bill and Barbara. Another fun day in Cuenca!
It is so beautiful there! How did y'all find this place? Also is that a pitcher plant in the second picture? So happy y'all are living the good life!! Tell Mike hi!

Hi Rebecca. When we decided to retire we researched the best places for Americans to retire overseas and Cuenca was rated #1 by several sources so we came for a visit, fell in love with the city, and moved here. I believe the tree is called a "trumpet tree." They are planted all over the city. Mike says hi back to you.
