Guayaquil, Ecuador 2017

Last night we returned from a three day trip to Guayaquil, officially Santiago de Guayaquil, to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.  The city is the largest and the most populous city in Ecuador with around 2.69 million people in the metro area.  It is also the nations main port. The photos below show the highlights of our visit.

Devil's Nose Train Ride - Alausi, Ecuador

Another day trip we enjoyed in July was to Alausi, Ecuador.  Alausi is a village in the Andean highlands.  It is the closest station to the train ride Nariz del Diablo. Most of the tourism in Alausi is centered around the train ride.  However, the town itself, is small and quite charming.  Enjoy the photos!
